Podiatric Medicine and Foot Surgery in La Jolla and Encinitas, CA
SoCal Foot Care has decades of experience under its belt and was founded by Dr. Berenter, who began practicing medicine in 1987. Today, there are six podiatrists working to fulfill SoCal Foot Care’s goal of providing compassionate care to all who come through our doors. We are proud to have three different locations in the SoCal area, so our patients can choose the location that is best for them.
About Our Founder, Dr. Berenter
Dr. Jay Berenter has been practicing medicine since 1987 and was board certified in Podiatric Surgery in 1990. He attended Boston University 1976-1979 and San Diego State University 1979-1981. He went on to receive his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from the California College of Podiatry at San Diego in 1985. Dr. Berenter served his residency at Kaiser Hospital in San Diego, specializing in Orthopedic and Podiatric Surgery.
