Jacob Ray, PT, DPT attended Calvin University where he studied Kinesiology and Spanish and played on the basketball team. Jacob also participated in a study abroad program in Peru where he played collegiate volleyball and observed pediatric physical therapy. Throughout these endeavors, Jacob struggled with chronic foot pain and received physical therapy treatment which inspired him to further pursue physical therapy and write his final capstone project at Calvin University on the biomechanics of the foot during gait.
Jacob went on to receive his doctorate of physical therapy from Grand Valley State University in 2022. Jacob has since worked in the orthopedic setting and has particularly enjoyed treating patients with foot and ankle conditions. Jacob has clinical experience treating athletes, especially runners, dancers, and soccer players. Jacob also has experience treating patients after many different orthopedic surgeries. Jacob is passionate about continuing his education particularly in the areas of video gait analysis, manual therapy, and chronic pain management. In his free time, Jacob enjoys spending time outdoors with his family.
