Joshua Mitnick, DPM, ABPM, has been assisting patients with medical and general podiatric concerns for over 10 years. He joined The Foot Doctors of Santa Cruz team after many years in private and group practice.
Dr. Mitnick completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, San Diego. He then attended the California College of Podiatric Medicine at Samuel Merritt University in Oakland before completing an internship and residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York.
Dr. Mitnick is certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine. Certification with the American Board of Podiatric Medicine requires an extensive process in podiatric medicine and orthopedics. ABPM-certified doctors like Dr. Mitnick have demonstrated an exceptionally high level of competency in all areas of podiatric care.
An active athlete, Dr. Mitnick also has extensive training in biomechanics. He enjoys helping patients find solutions for athletic concerns affecting the feet or ankles. Dr. Mitnick assists patients in choosing the correct shoes and provides patients with training on how to minimize the risk of foot pain or injury.
In his practice, Dr. Mitnick also specializes in treating elderly patients for a variety of podiatric issues. He works to help patients find nonsurgical solutions for common foot problems including corns, calluses, and ingrown toenails.
When not assisting patients, Dr. Mitnick can often be found participating in marathons, traveling, and spending time with his wife and three children.
